John Mark Goeke is a college senior as of September 15th, 2015 who goes to The Prairie School. With a background in crowdfunding (as in, having spent time browsing kickstarter and looking at cool products), he seems kind of qualified to speak about this topic. Born outside of New Hampshire, he grew up supporting a family of three by winning debate tournaments and being funded on Indiegogo. He has no degrees/certifications (besides a middle school graduation book, a BBS certificate, and a “good reader” diploma from the Public Library) and has received few awards (besides a trophy for a broomball tournament, a few running medals, and a coupon for a free McGriddle from McDonalds), but he makes up for his lack of appropriate documents in heart and spirit. He founded the third association for “Fans of the number 7” within Wisconsin, a title for which he is proud. He works with children (or “crowds” of children), which is extremely relevant to the topic he is speaking of, because consumers are many times like whiny children- children who want stuff they don’t need for some indescribable reason. He has written published no books, but if you ever want to read a paper about the CIA’s history with torture, he could certainly provide you with one several unpublished manifestos, decrying modern capitalism and the idea of supply and command. When he is not busy being the number one authority on all things business and economics, he can be found running around in circles for sport, losing at computer games, or walking his dog (his only true friend). After serving for six years in over twelve different militias, John Mark has successfully mastered the indefinite concepts of both material design and natural chemistry. In his later years, he hopes to discover the alchemical secrets stored underneath the White House.
